Privacy Policy for HD Image Bulk Downloader

 Last updated: July 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how HD Image Bulk Downloader (the “Extension”) handles information when you use it in Google Chrome.

The Extension is developed by [Your Name / Company] and is intended to help you filter high-resolution images on the webpage you are viewing and pack them into a single ZIP file for download.

1. Summary

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking SDKs.
  • We do not collect browsing history for profiling.
  • The Extension processes page and image data locally in your browser only when you choose to download.
  • The only preference we store is your language setting.

2. Information We Process

2.1 Data processed to provide the core feature

When you click the download / pack button, the Extension may temporarily process:

  • Image URLs found on the active webpage
  • Image file content fetched from those URLs (to create a ZIP archive)
  • The active tab URL / hostname (used only to generate a download folder or archive name)

This processing happens in your browser. The Extension does not upload these images or URLs to our servers.

2.2 Data we store

The Extension may store the following using Chrome’s storage API (synced with your Chrome profile if sync is enabled):

  • Your UI language preference (for example: System, English, Chinese, etc.)

We do not store:

  • Your name, email, or account credentials
  • Payment information
  • Browsing history logs
  • Downloaded image files on our servers (files are saved to your device’s Downloads folder by Chrome)

The Extension popup may show an optional recommendation for SpearfishPicViewer, a Mac image viewer developed by the same developer, with a link to the Mac App Store.

  • Clicking that link is optional.
  • It does not affect the download feature.
  • If you open the Mac App Store link, Apple’s own privacy policy applies to that visit/purchase.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above solely to:

  • Find and pack high-resolution images from the current page
  • Create and save a ZIP download to your device
  • Remember and apply your language preference
  • Display optional related product information in the popup

We do not use Extension data for advertising networks, remarketing, or selling to data brokers.

4. Permissions Explained

The Extension requests the following permissions:

  • activeTab — access the page you are viewing when you use the Extension
  • scripting — run a content script to collect image candidates on that page
  • downloads — save the generated ZIP file to your Downloads folder
  • offscreen — create a temporary offscreen page to fetch images and build the ZIP
  • storage — save your language preference
  • Host permissions (http://*/*, https://*/*) — allow the Extension to work on websites you visit and fetch image content when you start a download

These permissions are used only for the purposes above.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties.

Limited technical sharing may occur only as part of normal browser / platform operation, for example:

  • Google Chrome / Chrome Web Store platform services
  • Apple Mac App Store, only if you voluntarily open the product link

6. Data Retention

  • Image URLs and image content are processed temporarily in memory during a download and are not retained by us on remote servers.
  • Language preference remains stored in Chrome storage until you clear Extension data, reset the preference, or uninstall the Extension.
  • ZIP files saved to your Downloads folder remain under your control on your device.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Extension is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Choices

You can:

  • Choose not to use the download feature
  • Change or clear the language preference
  • Ignore or not click the optional Mac App Store recommendation
  • Uninstall the Extension at any time from chrome://extensions

Uninstalling the Extension removes its stored preferences from your browser according to Chrome’s normal uninstall behavior.

9. International Users

The Extension may be used worldwide. Because processing primarily occurs locally in your browser, data is generally handled on your device. If Chrome Sync is enabled, your language preference may sync through Google’s Chrome sync infrastructure under Google’s terms and policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the Extension after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
